He plays and sings at church and uses a Fender FM212 with a Boss Blues Driver for now. I've long since told him of cranking a small to medium size tube amp, and he likes the sound (from demos). We both don't know too much about the 20 watt Jet City amps, but he is interested. I'm just trying to find out how loud would one of those get before getting too dirty. He wants to use an overdrive pedal and only plays rhythm.

that and teh bugera imo are teh best for 400ish bucks new.

what turned me off are: only 1 channel, less otehr stuff, and availability (turns out my local store had the bugera, and came down on the price 50 bucks).

i do want 1 channel 100% clean, another channel with gain, and a master. thats a big one. keep that in mind with the jet city. if you play loud, and need a CLEAN channel, it may not be a good choice.
