Im around the atlanta area and wanted to get a setup on my new guitar. What places would you guys recommend and what would the price range be? The last time I got a setup on my other guitar the guy didnt do a good job

or would I be able to do it?

you should be able to do most of it yourself.

there are tons of tutorials out there.

i'd start with the Guitar Set Up Q & A Sticky in Electric Guitar forum.

If you don't feel comfortable try Googling: Atlanta, GA Guitar Shops

There's a shop 30 mins of Atlanta I went to to get my guitar's pickups changed from an EMG 81/85 combo (active) to a Seymour Duncan SH-1/TB-12 combo (passive). The guy drilled larger holes for my CTS pots, installed/wired my pickups, and setup my Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings... all for $60.

Guitar Center charges $55 for just setting up your strings.

Just email Bill Dent on this page and see what he can do for you:

thanks guys, all I really need is to get rid of a little fret buzz off the low E string and lower the strings a bit. Its an Ibanez RG2EX2. Maybe brighten up the sound a bit if I can? Ive raised both pickups and that did brighten it a lot.

Kennay thanks for the link
