There's a great reggae thread already on here with some awesome suggestions.

Black Uhuru and Aswad, Alpha Blondy, some of my favorites. But there's a shitload of quality reggae out there, so look up that thread.

Also, there's a great Greek Reggae band called Locomondo . Plenty of stuff up on youtube.

Tim Armstrong's A poets life album is amazing, if you have any taste for punk id ttry some ska bands too, they add reggae (out of time guitars, horns various instruments) with punk rock, check Reel Big Fish and mighty Mighty Bosstone.

Just so you know, ska is NOT a fusion of reggae and punk. Ska came before reggae.

TS, check out Groundation (best album imo is Hebron Gate), Twinkle Brothers (Countrymen album). Also check out lots of the Lee 'Scratch' Perry produced artists, such as Junior Murvin, Max Romeo etc. His compilation 'Arkology' is awesome.
