Don't think we've had one of these for a while. So bass forum, whats your GAS been lately? Be it the next thing you buy, or some almost unattainable dream. From instruments to effects, Squier to Ritter, whatever you are craving in the back of your mind.

To contribute myself, a short but rather pricey list:
- Zon Sonus 5 or Sonus Classic 5
- Status Streamline and/or Steinberger L
- Dingwall Super J
- Bass Big Muff
- Markbass Mini CMD 121P

unattainable bass of the month: Gibson G3 the worlds most ungibson gibson. Maple body, bolt on maple neck, electronics mounted in pickgaurd, three single coil pickups, good stuff.

Atainable gas: squire VM jazz

guitar gas, es-335 style hollow body

I've been lusting after an SWR SM-1500 amplifier head, but can't bring myself to drop the cash on it. Perhaps some day in the future. I'd also like to add a Steve Bailey fretted six-string bass to my Fender collection, but it is pricey and no one around here carries one for me to try out. I'd hate to buy such a bass sight unseen.

Bass: Steve Bailey Fretted Six String or an ESP B-1006
Amp: Orange full stack.
But I would never be able to afford both of those xD

I try to keep my list more realistic, that way I don't disappoint myself
I'm going to be buying an Ibanez SR400QM in Lavender Burst in September, I've been wanting that since I first saw it. And then I'll probably bite the bullet and pay the duty fees to get an Acoustic amp shipped up here, because I'm a sucker for a good deal.
Although, as a slightly more unrealistic option; an Ibanez SR506.

This is the only EHX pedal I don't have a high opinion of, look at Bazzfuzz.com's video review on youtube.

Distortion, EQ, compressor and DI?

I would suggest getting a decent DI box and a decent compressor. I.e a Sansamp Bass Driver and an Aphex Punch Factory. Sounds expensive because it really is.

I really can't see why you would have GAS for the Bass Metaphors though. Only two EQ bands, on/off compressor (no adjusting) and a fairly terrible distortion. Have I cured your GAS yet?

Idk, but now thanks to you I want a compressor.

After going through the thread I could add an MIA Fender Precision to my list, although I'd have to repaint it to satisfy my fetish for Fender Custom Colors. Mmmmm, Fiesta Red, Surf Green, Daphne or Sonic Blue, or Shoreline Gold.

Ampeg SVT (vintage or reissue, although vintage would be much cooler). As for cabs, probably a 2x12 and a 1x15, not sure what brand.

As for basses, probably a Fender American Vintage Jazz '75. Really anything American Vintage or American Deluxe would be awesome.

The BTB 775 is definitely one of the best BTB's in my opinion.

I'd also really like a GVB1006. =D

My problem is that it's so expensive. My ESP is starting to just irritate me. It's good, but it's just.....I don't know how to put it. I just recently upgraded to it, but I feel like I need to get my hands on something better. Like an Ibanez. And having a 5 string would be a plus, just because they're cool, and all the extra heaviness.
