So, instead of just buying a Fender Stratocaster, I thought it might
be better money-wise to buy new pickups. But I have no idea what type I want to get.
I want to switch the switch the stock pick ups of the Agile AL 2000. For treble, I want like, a pickup thats good for crunchy type distortion, sounding along the lines of Tool.
And I want my rhythm to be something like a Jazzmaster sound.
So if anyone knows what pickups are good for which, that'd be great.

Indeed, you want a change of sound, get a decent amp. Then maybe pickups too, but the amp is like 70% of your sound.

Are you on a budget?

priority list...

1. new amp
2. new guitar
3. pickups

i put guitar above pickups because putting new pickups in an average guitar doesn't make the sound too different... and i would buy that strat... very versatile hence more sounds.
