I am wanting to send my Peavey Windsor to FJA mod to get a clean channel installed, but I want to make sure it is worthwhile. It is supposed to be a Marshall plexi type clean, but what exactly is this? Is it a dirty clean or a very "clean" soudning clean? Or any examples of songs using clean plexi would help.

Plexi clean is very clean. Kind of like a tweed Fender type clean but a bit tighter. They're very nice IMO. I hate it when people say things like Marshall can only do crunch. The old non MV amps had great cleans.

I'd rather have a plexi clean over a Fender clean any day of the week. They are a lot warmer with more body.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Boss pedals may be built like tanks but I would rather buy a cardboard box that is on my side than pay for a tank that is working against me.
