Hey there fellow guitarists. So, I will be in the market for a new amp soon. So, I'm looking for suggestions.

I'm running a schecter c-1 hellraiser tuned down to Drop B. I'm looking for a heavy metal amp. My influences come from bands like slipknot or killswitch engage.

The tight bottom end punchy attacky sound. Solid state or tube will work ( Though tube would be nice.) No more than $900.

If it is tube though, I need something that sounds good at low volumes. I'm not fortunate enough to be able to crank it all the time. I'd like something I can practice at home with. And gig with in the future. ( No band at the moment.) I hear egnater amps with the switchable wattage are nice for that.

So, any recommendations?

Do you use cleans?
How about pedals?
Are you willing to go used?

If only I were the only one at home right now. I don't need my parents asking who Mr. Wiggles is.

Yes, I sometimes use cleans. Though rarely. Pedals, mainly wah or whammy. And, yes. I'm willing to go used.
