Hey, recently I've been listening to a lot of Jesus and Mary Chain and I was just wondering whether people could suggest some bands with a similar kind of sound.

Check out the album 'Distortion' by the Magnetic Fields, and some of My Bloody Valentines early stuff like 'Sunny Sundae Smile'

I don't think any of them sound much like the Mary Chain apart from maybe Crocodiles.

I know... but hey, there are plenty of 'SOUNDS SUPER CLOSE TO' bands listed, so i thought i'd throw in some 'SOUNDS SORTA CLOSE BUT NOT REALLY' bands to it.

FWIW, i don't think ANY band really sounds like JatMC.

Sure, that's fair enough. I wouldn't argue that they're probably Mary Chain influenced.

Totally.

Thank you, JatMC/Cocteau Twins/Sonic Youth for influencing so many sweet bands.

I guess you could listen to Velvet underground.
I seem to think they sound similar.
