I need some help with picking out a boost pedal for solos. I was thinking about the MXR / Custom Audio Electronics clean boost but then I thought may be i should ask some other people and see what they think...so yeah help me out?

Don't know what you want, a boost of volume or a boost to your overall signal?

Check out Proguitarshop (boost pedals), since you're in the states (I think?).
Anyway, they sell quality and give a short description (and sometimes video demo's) about each pedal so that's where I would start looking.

I suppose it's a mid/drive boost, that you put on for soloing..

well (just another idea) i run a graphic EQ with a mids boost for my solos now. stays true to my tone, gives me a consistent boost on each channel and has plenty of room for tweaking
