Alright guys (and girls). I was wondering... In a Fender standard stratocaster, underneath the pickguard, what are the holes in the body made for? What I mean is, underneath the pickguard, is the wood routed with humbucker sized holes or just singles?
The reason I ask is I was wondering about buying a Mexican Fender strat Hss, and replacing the neck single coil with a humbucker to give a bit more beef if the body is drilled that way. Cheers

Yeah there pretty different,I've never tried a HB in the neck of a strat before...if you end up doing it let me know what it sounds like...I've always wanted a 2HB strat but never got around to it
