You can replace the fretboard on a Jaguar neck with maple if you don't mind doing some serious work.

You could, but you'd have to move the bridge back about 3/4" and most likely move the ground from the bridge from the bridge to the trem if you want to keep things looking clean.

This is a shot of a Jazzmaster [which has the same scale of a strat] overlayed with a Jaguar and the neck pockets lined up. To get it to intonate you'd have to move the bridge from where the red outline is to the blue.

if the scale length was right and it fit in the neck pocket it would work, you just need to find a maple neck of that scale and maybe if you need to, take some wood off or add wood to the neck pocket
