Hey. I found the Moen Violent Metal online and it seems pretty cool.
Just that i hear no mention of it on UG.
Now, it's around $70, which i can save up for in a month or so, not a problem, so is it worth buying?
Anyone who actually owns it?
How does it compare to the Metal Muff, MT-2 and the Fullbore Metal? I'm not considering ANY OTHER pedal but the Moen, but i'm using these three as reference points as i am very familiar with their sounds.

I mean, i have seen a demo of Martin Behr playing it but his face looks like a torn condom, so i couldn't concentrate on the sound. xD

Are you looking to put this through your MG?

Maybe. I love pedals.
But i'm getting a tube amp in a month or so anyway, possibly a Bugera 333XL.

I'm planning on replacing the MG with a better practice amp later on.

What do you think of the pedal itself, irrespective of my rig?

If you're getting a 333XL you should be looking at overdrives, rather than distortion pedals.

I get it. That's why i'm buying a tube amp. Because a pedal can never match that.

I'd just like more information on this pedal.

I'm kinda a pedal freak, so.

All we're saying is that that pedal will be pretty much redundant if you're going for that amp. As for the pedal itself, it's not bad for the price, but i don't reckon it sounds too great.

Definitely better than an unmodded mt-2.
