Hi, i know a guy who could sell me an Antigua telecaster for 650$ CAD shipped to my door. Looks like a pretty good deal BUT, there's kind of a little brownish stain/blemish on the pickguard.
You can see it right next to the neck pickup and a bit between the pickup and the neck

Here's other shots of the "stain"

So, do you know what it could be? Or how i could clean this? Im not quite sure how.

Thanks.

Are you sure that's not just the shadow of the pup? Did you ask the seller about it?

I did. He said its a stain and he doesn't have the time to remove it.

This finish is damn rare. Chances are, i'll never find a pickguard for it, haha.

warmoth does antigua finishes. you should be able to get a pickguard through them. there's a chance it might not fit perfectly, but i think i'd start there. wdmusic might have antigua pickguards, but i'm not completely sure about that.

If that's not a shadow, then there's also a gigantic stain next to the bridge.

I don't even see it. :/

It's about the size of a thumbprint. With the headstock facing straight up, look at the neck pickup. It's on the right side.

Great list Rutch. On re-reading this one I'd have to say Solid State means not liquid or gas.

I figured it out.

Take it as is, and ask for a discount?

Keep the stain on it. Gives it character. That is one sexy finish.

i'd take it anyway, even if you can't do anything about the stain it'd really not that bad
