whats a better guitar for that purpose or any ibanez rg on that site for that manor. i dont like any of them with the pickgaurds preferably black nothing crazy something along those lines. would i be better off with those flat pickups like the emg style or like the single coil for my purpose. and preferably NO EDGE 3 Trems!

DO NOT GET AN IBANEZ!

Just read my sig and you'll know where to start to look

Man, thank God the russians created UG. Otherwise, how would I have gotten this information?

Then why does guitar #2 have an edge 3 trem?

I love ESP...but....

I've heard lots of bad things about the Edge III, The first one is better if you want to change tunings often.

The Ibanez pickups on the first one are decent at best, I've played a prestige RG with the same pickup set (and a single coil) and they were alright. Not great, but not terrible.

I say go for the RG2EX1. Lower end Esp/Ltd's are terrible.

i have both an esp/ltd and an ibanez rg with an edge tremolo. i love my esp, but my ibanez completely overshadows it for maybe 100 more bucks. the tremolo isnt what its made out to be; if you know what youre doing, its not a big deal at all. the ibanez works in any tuning (from standard to G# dropped tuning) and all notes shine through.

Get the RG3FX1 or whatever its called, replace the pickups with some dimarzio's or bareknuckles or something and you'll have yourself a great guitar.

I want to get one too...I had a 470 but I guess that's the bottom model and I don't know the diiference between the 570 and 770

Get the RG3EXFM1. It was my first guitar after my starter, and I STILL play it more than my Ltd EC-1000. No regrets.

Pickup upgrade is a good idea, I'm planning on putting Dimarzios in mine!
