Hello

I need your help urgently! My band has their first support gig in a week, and my guitar AND my backup guitar are acting up! I £400 to spend on a new one... so I was wondering if I could get help choosing my next guitar. At the moment I have a Fender American Telecaster as my primary guitar, and an Epiphone Special model, I also have a Vox VT30 amp. I play in a pop-punk band that sounds similar to- You Me At Six, All Time Low... (Don't judge me!) What guitar do you guys recommend?

A decent used mexican fender model, jag, strat, tele or otherwise.
I would say it doesn't matter for pop punk but no-one should have to suffer an epiphone special

Why don't you spend the money you have to fix the guitars you already have?

Get an epiphone les paul? Normal ones are under £400 Im sure. Nice twin humbuckers for a good tone. Shouldnt let you down at all . Or maybe a telecaster? There alright aswell!

This.

Or if you really want a new guitar, Try a 72' Telecaster Deluxe. They are awesome for pop-punk and rock in general. One of those will run you about $700usd though....

How do you know the amp isn't the problem if both of your guitars are acting weird?

^^ Especially since one is a MIA Tele already. The Epi Special is a beginner's guitar but not that Tele. I think it's likely something else at work here, of course you never did describe what "acting up" was so who knows?
Moving on.....

Couldn't you borrow a guitar instead of burning £400 on a guitar you might never use again?
