It's a cameo. I don't want to take it apart and risk breaking it to see the model number. It's the hollowbody on the far left.

I'm assuming you are referring to the sunburst one? Its body shape resemble that of an ES-335, but what does it say on the headstock? Better pics would be an amazing help.

There you go. Nothing but Cameo on the headstock. Blank truss rod cover. Neck plate says Japan.

Also, my now deceased cat is in the corner. =[

Trying to find info on this thing is like trying to find info on my Kay LP

Anyway, from what I gather, They made guitars in the late 60's and into the 70's other than that, I have no clue.

I've found that out, but only seen violin, lp, and strat shaped models. Maybe it's one of a kind. =D Either way, it's from the 60/70s, I got it for free from my brother who got it for 100 bucks, and it sounds bad ass.

That sounds exactly like my LP. My uncle gave it to me as my first Electric. I've seen many Kay's that look like mine but the Headstocks are different. I've yet to find another one with the same headstock as mine.

I don't mind since it's an awesome deal, but I would be interested to know the year, types of woods, etc..

could be a fake....?

a fake what exactly

It's basically one of those '60s/'70s japanese import guitars that were the sort of thing all the guitarists from around that time would have had to learn to play on, through not being able to afford a "proper" guitar.

A nice bit of nostalgia, if nothing else
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

well no.. that would make it "an old cheap japanese guitar". in what way would that make it a "fake" if it's not pretending to be anything it isn't?

Good luck finding any trace of anything about it, there were countless "different" brands around in the 60s and 70s making knock-off guitars like this, it's really impossible to say what it is unless you sift through 20 years of sears catalogues

edit - so really just enjoy it, don't worry yourself too much with it's history, it'll just be a headache tbh.

Alright, guys. Definitely not a "fake." It's 335 shaped but has soap bar style pickups and the bigsby style trem. It actually plays like a dream. Trem surprisingly stays in tune as well as my G&L Tribute's. Pain to tune though. Craigs list ftw.
