verse
They only like you because you
are easy on the eyes and on the mind
Under that gaudy projection there's really nothing there
Just a load of hollow "ifs"

chorus
The lightning coat of trepidation
That you wear
Screams of broken loops
vying termination
Stark co-dependence
on taking directions from the main
Follow directions even if they're not what you meant

verse
Statements with no tangible return
Values that add to null
Great resounding errors beneath a flashy skin
Let's let this programming begin

chorus
The lightning coat of trepidation
That you wear
Screams of broken loops
vying termination
Stark co-dependence
on taking directions from the main
Follow directions even if they're not what you meant

Think Arctic Monkey/Libertines, but more art rock.

I liked it. The chorus is a bit of a mouthful, with "trepidation" and such, but I like it all the same. A good 8/10 I think.

If you would critique any of the songs in my profile, it would be much appreciated.

I like it. ^ I agree with him. I'll do a more in depth review when I'm more sober.

I think the vocabulary is great. As a song, I don't know how it comes across. I do agree with "afterthewar" that it would be a bit of a mouthful. Might be a bit too deep for some listeners/readers, but still enjoyable. Makes you have to appreciate the language. Could be a bit of a downfall though. Very descriptive which I thought was good. Only thing I didn't like too much was the second verse. Just didn't flow as well as everything else and seems shorted. All in all, not too shabby.
