Stick with your Vox for now. Trust me on this.

Sell your Valvestate to brainless 17 year old for mighty sums of dollars. Purchase a JMP for a pittance from a desperate seller. Masturbate to pictures of yourself and your new, real Marshall. Eternal glory awaits.

Much better amp.
Put this in your signature if you've ever saved a child.

Yea thats what i thought.

MGs aren't legitimate Marshalls. The clean channel is passable but the lead channel is garbage.

The Vox blows it away.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Because?

From actual experience with both amps, I'll say this:

The MG takes WAY too much shit for what it is. For the price, I'd say it's okay - My brother has one and I've gotten some pretty good tones out of it,

The Vox is FAR more versatile. It's also pretty good at what it does, but only if your guitar has a bright tonewood, like alder or ash.

If you were talking about a Mesa Boogie or JCM800 Marshall than i would say one of both. but sorry i have to break this to you but Marshall MGs are bad... they're pretty much the "First Act" of Amps. No offense to Marshall i love their JCM stuff
