My setup below
Guitar: Peavey Rotor EXP
Amp: Randall rg75 G2
Effect Chain: EH Metal Muff+Dunlop KFK EQ+Dunlop MXR M134 Stereo Chours

I want to sell my EH Metal Muff, and change to Blackstar HT-DistX

I always played COB, Kreator, Metallica, BFMV, Judas.
Now i use the Randall Dist Channel, however i hate one kind dist. tone all the time.

So I wanna know if It is good for me to use Blackstar HT-DistX.

this first thing you want is to take out the valve and put in a tung sol valve, much better tone. to get the best from the pedal's eq keep the mids quite low, and dont use to much gain, thats how i use it anyway

If the distortion on your Randall is pretty good for metal, then the DistX can't be too far better.
Try out a boost pedal. The DistX is for people who don't have a high gain valve amp for metal.

It is good out of the box, but it's better with the valve change.
