Hey all.
I'm looking for some arthouse style movies, mainly in the style of David Lynch but I'm more than willing to try out anything.
Horror stuff is prefrered, but like I said, I'm up for anything.

Alejandro Jodorowsky. Roshomon. If you don't know much about David Cronenberg, watch Crash.

I still have no idea what is going on in Fando Y Lis. Maybe La Strada.

Edit: When you say art house like Lynch, I assume you mean surreal. If it doesn't have to be surreal, I can help more.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

I'd prefer surreal but it doesn't have to be
Isn't Crash filled with loads of gratuitous sex?

Mmhmm. And it's also very disturbing sex. It's a good movie, though. You can also turn it on R mode. But what the hell is the fun in that. Well, if it's surreal you're looking for, you really can't go wrong with Jodorowsky. El Topo is my favorite, but people seem to prefer The Holy Mountain.

Anyhoo, if it doesn't have to be surreal, then I'd like to recommend The Orphanage and The Devil's Backbone just because they're my favorite movies.

Eraserhead (although you mentioned Lynch so i assume you have seen it)
Un chien Andalou (Dali)
Begotten (never seen it myself, looks a bit too mad for my liking)
WHOMP

Think of that next time you are not allowed to laugh.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, it'll change your life.

Laugh? Really?
I've been meaning to watch it for a while but haven't gotten round to it?
How gut wrenchingly horrible is the genital mutilation?

Eraserhead: Seen & loved
Un Chien.. : Want to see, still haven't.
Begotten: Seen about half, it's... different to say the leasy but I like it
