surely an emg 81tw is better than just an emg 81 so why doesnt everybody use 81tw's???
i know its a little taller but it gives you an extra pickup giving you more tonal variety

why?!?!?

It costs 10 pounds more! also its not needed. if you play a wide variety of music fair enough but if you stick to one genre, theres no point.

aW here! sayin its not needed is like sayin a 5 way swicth on a strat isnt 'needed', what is 'needed', now that i think of it quilted maple tops arent needed, as well as carved tops, binding, fancy inlays, heck are guitars even needed just to survive?
