Im debating between a
marshall tsl or dsl or a mesa single rectifier
im looking to get a pop rock tone cruch
similar to the maine, a rocket to the moon, the summer
which amp would suit me the best?
im worried the mesa will be too harsh and heavy for the sound
can anyone help?

I don't know those bands but for pop rock/punkish stuff a single rec or dsl are both fine choices. The mesa can be dialled back for very good pop rock sounds just try both and decide which you like better there's no right or wrong answer, except of course a 1 watt mini amp

The DSL sounds better than the TSL, it's closer to a JCM800.

Single Rec will do those tones fine. I believe Blink 182 used Rectos.

Besides that, pop rock can get pretty heavy (Fall Out Boy, for instance).
