Title says it, i m in the market for a 7 string, and 1300eur is the budget (Although i d like to NOT spend it all). I live in the Netherlands so buying from thomann.de is whats going to happen, unless anyone has any better suggestions. The guitar i buy is going to be used for progressive-y metal, but also some heavier stuff

From thomann.de, guitars i ve been looking at:

-Ibanez RG1527z + New pickups (probably dimarzio crunchlab+liquifire)
OR
-Jackson SL3T7 (i really dont like EMGs, i have a feeling i wont like the 707s)
OR
-One of the high end schecters

Now the questions i need answered:

1) Which of the top 3 would you have me go for (or suggest something better)? I probably wont get the chance to play them before i order...

2) Any better pickup recommendations than the crunchlab+liquifire for what i want to play?

3)On a bit of a side note, which strings would i string it up with? I d rather buy them in bulk from thomann, since the stores around me dont carry 7-string packs.

Thanks in advance you guys!

My advice...try going to a local guitar shop and at least SEEING if they have a 7 string with 707's.

I hate EMGs as well but I tried out the 707s on my friends Hellraiser and they were simply AMAZING. I absolutely hate EMGs on a 6 string, but on a 7 they sound so much better.
You know, you're probably reading this saying "Hey, I'm bored, maybe this'll be funny?"
It's not. Too bad. No, I am not refunding you those 6 seconds of your life. So :P

Schecter Loomis Sig
or
Schecter C-7 Blackjack ATX

I love these 2 guitars sooo much, prefer the feel Jeff Loomis one, but then I prefer the sound of the SD Blackouts to the EMGs ahahaha :P

Ibanez 7's are also really good from the ones I have played
the difference in feel between Schecters and Ibbys is immence, so I reccomend, if you can, try them out first

Crickets have too much high end for my tastes. I prefer a nice beetle, lots of warm low end.

tl;dr put a beetle in your amp for superior toanz.

What kind of neck profile do you prefer?

For that amount of scratch, I'd go Used and possibly get 2 or 3 kickass 7s, unless you're set on getting a new one. Post in the 7 string thread. I know people there have all of the guitars you linked + some.
