If you have a tube amp, and play only a few times a week.. then you didn't touch it for years... would the tube still be where it's left off in terms of life span?


Do tubes degrade over decades ? Assuming they're not being used.

The beauty of a vacuum is no corrosion. If unused they should last until the glass runs away and compromises the vacuum - which would take a few hundred years if the glass in old cathedrals is anything to go by.

Well, the pins would rust first but I'm sure you understand what I'm trying to say.
