This was my 3 tone sunburst 2007 Fender Standard Telecaster... boring, dull, ordinary:

So I decided to modify the shit out of it

-Added a new neck from an American Fender Strat
-Added Sperzel gold satin locking tuners
-Changed the pickups to DiMarzio Virtual Vintage 2.1 (neck) and DiMarzio Air Norton T (bridge)
-Added a bigsby vibrato
-Changed bridge to ashtray string-through bridge
-Added a 5 way switch (pos 1: bridge, pos 2: bridge + neck in series, pos 3: bridge + neck in parrallel, pos 4: bridge + neck in series and out of phase, pos 5: neck)
-Added 500k pots
-Added pinstripe white binding
-Shielded body cavities and pickguard
-Added straplocks

This is her now:

Pickup under the pickguard?

Classy. I like. I guess output would suck but in a guitar with a Bigsby I imagine high output isn't an issue

The neck pickup has quite a high output so reaching high gain levels isn't as much of a problem as it would seem.

I've never heard of anyone doing that thing with the under the hood neck pickup before. Sounds like a cool idea. I just might have to try that someday with my Esquire.
Epiphone Dot
DIY Esquire w/Neovin Power Rock pickup
Vox AC30VR 212
Arion MTE-1 (LED clipping diodes added)
Vox Tonelab LE
Roland SDE1000 delay

By high-gain I don't mean stupid stuff. I just mean styles like Motley Crue or Iron Maiden

I got the idea from a Fender Custom Shop Esquire with 3 pickups

I'll try to get some clips up tomorrow. Neck is very fast; slim and wide with low action. Pickups are highly responsive and dynamic. Great all round feel.
