Hey ug,

So heres my problem. I play mostly blues, jazz, and hard rock with some more mellow rock too. Problem is I end up having to switch from standard tuning to Eb tuning constantly when practising (w/recordings, etc) or rehearsing.

I was talking to a friend and he suggested just to leave my tuning to Eb and use a capo when I need to use standard tuning.

Besides the fact that I lose one fret would this be a practical solution. It won't cause any other problems?

If you need to kow i now play only on my Gibson Les Paul Standard. Also, if anyone has suggestions for capo's, they are welcome.

Yes this would work very well for you. Most capos are the same in my experience, just different styles of them.
