im going to buy a new bass amp and im deciding between the acoustic b200 200w bass combo or the acoustic b200h and b115 cab. i know its pretty much the same amp but what i want to know is would i be able to get a really good death metal tone(i have a ibanez gsr206 just so you know what bass im using with it) with them? and which one would be better for band practice and small gigs as in cutting through the mix without a problem. im thinking the b200h and b115 would probably have less of a problem with that.

are we talking like cannibal corpse tone? If so, then you can set your bass up properly and you can sound 'like that' with a B200

Try a GK MB 115. You should be able to get a great metal tone.

I don't really understand why basses have 24 frets, I mean, I've never seen a bassist playing more than the 12 fret.

I'm talking about the tone of the bassist, not the bands.
