I know this is probably a very simple fix. But i just bought the tremolo arm for my MIM fender i got off a friend for $200 in great condition. The only problem is when i use the tremolo the springs are very loud and squeaky, i greased them all up and everything and that never helped, whats the solution

Foam in the cavity to dampen the springs.

Also check and make sure the strings aren't binding in the nut. Mine made the same noise. Sounded like a spring noise, but once i changed the nut it was gone.
