I wrote this song for my girlfriend, but i havent played it for her yet haha. its the summer now, and she lives out of town, so i barely get to see her. so thats where some of the inspiration of this song come from. tell me what you think.

Thoughts of you come pouring down on me
Like the rain that washes the world away

I beg for the stars to give me more time with you
As your eyes reflect the beauty of the moon

'Cause all i need is you
All i need is you

So darling why
i dont wanna be alone tonight
theres no possible explanation
for this incredible aggravation

You pulse through me
Like a dream filled night

You are my everything

'Cause all i need is you
All i need is you

So darling why
i dont wanna be alone tonight
theres no possible explanation
for this incredible aggravation

'Cause all i need is you
All i need is you

Thanks for any critique!

I can hear some pretty awesome fingerpicking going on here! Have you already written chords out for it yet?

First off, before i even read this, oliver nelson is bad ass.
All preconceptions aside now.//..

I really like the second and fifth stanzas - they have grit and actual seem to come from you.

the rest is a reciprocation of the music you listen to, which isn't very original or griping.
If you want to write her something, write everything you feel, not what other musicians write about and feel.

that being said, i don't want you to think i'm putting you down - i had the same problem for years. it's hard to break out of because you have to overcome the fear of people thinking you can't write because you're writing things they've never read before, and at first, you'll more than likely 'suck'. but keep at it
