Hi, I'm not quite sure if this is the right place for me to ask this or not (my first thread) but! Tomorrow, i am going to buy a marshall MG100HDFX head, and use my old guitar amp while i save up for the cab, but i was just wondering, would it be possible to run this head through my regular 75 watt computer speakers?

It's sketchy even with the right adapter. I say no.

EDIT: Unless you use the headphone out maybe?

EDIT2: Also don't buy that Marshall.

By high-gain I don't mean stupid stuff. I just mean styles like Motley Crue or Iron Maiden

If the impedance is matched and you keep the volume at a safe level (be very careful with that) it will work. But the sound it makes will probably kill you.

Also, don't buy that MG.

he's not retarded, he just needs to look for a nicer amp and maybe wait before buying till he has more money
If it's creative, true to your musical goal, and it sounds good, put it in the song.

1. Guitar, delay, verb, amp, and creativity.
2. Well-tuned acoustic piano and creativity.
3. A bottle of water.

That was uncalled for.

TS, what you plan on doing is risky business for the speakers. The amp shouldn't have a problem but if the speakers can't take the volume the voice coil will melt. And I'd recommend a butt load of amps over the MG, especially the MG100. What's your budget and what bands do you want to sound like? Are you willing to go used?

PLEASE don't buy that amp, I just hope that you see all these comment before you buy the MG.
