I just got an email, someone willing to trade my guitar for their electric-acoustic.
Here's the email:


Hey there, i have a Yamaha APX-7a acoustic/ electric guitar , its a mini jumbo size, cutaway,i bought it new in 2003, it listed for $939, i paid $ 735 out the door,e mail or call me if you're interested


Should I go for it?

Maybe I'm blind or it's not showing correctly on my iPhone but I don't see a mention of your guitar in the first post.

you can see the specs there. no way it cost that much in u.s. dollars - it's the older equivalent of the $299.99 apx500 but with a lower grade wood than the apx500 for the top.

of course, your guitar isn't worth any more, so it's a fair trade, i guess. but be aware than yamaha thinlines, particularly the laminate top models, don't sound all that good unplugged.

Biggest problem, is I don't plan on playing plugged in. Mostly because I don't have an acoustic amp. But yeah, bummer =[
