From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gambling is the wagering of money or something of material value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money and/or material goods. Typically, the outcome of the wager is evident within a short period.

Gambling, UG. Do you guys do it? Do you enjoy winning? Do you hate losing? Do you play stock in big companies as well?

Here are a list of some popular casino games. (Let me know about some others to have a bigger list!)
Blackjack: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackjack
Craps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craps
Poker: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker
Roulette: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roulette

I enjoy gambling from time to time when the mood excites me. I'm a big blackjack player, and I swear that it's a great game to learn if you want to make some rational winnings.

Texas Hold em is probably my second favorite game to play.

So talk about any gambling games you enjoy, strategies for games, and what to do and what not to do in certain situations. In the end, it shouldnt be about losing or winning, just some overall fun, and remember to quit while you're ahead. :p

Hold 'Em, most definitely. Nothing like having a few beers and winning money from friends in someone's basement.
#3
I enjoy playing poker and blackjack, or shooting craps every now and again, though I take it FAR too seriously. I also place the occasional bet.
#5
I am too nervous to gamble. I'll place minor bets on the outcomes of sporting events, scrabble games, or blackjack, but never monetary values.

I love poker. However, my wallet does not like that I love poker. I lose money usually.

won £5 on roulette on holiday, i could have had about 30 at one stage but i wanted to have fun playing anyway, so i didn't wanna leave after a little while. At one point i was doing incredibly well. This french croupier came on and it was nuts, he made the entire table lose, after about 10 minutes everyone had left for another table, i've seen him do this before O_o it was strange.

Overall a jolly good time was had

I was playing blackjack with some friends yesterday night, and I managed to win about $70+. My other bud won about $165+

I started out on $20 and went down to $5, but then played my ass off and made my winnings. Caught a few blackjacks, but the dealer was a pretty good lucky kind of dude. We followed him around the tables when he would change so we could keep winning rofl.

I wish i was over 18, I'm good at hold 'em and i really feel i could make some money off it.

I work in a store that sells lottery tickets, and that's thoroughly convinced me that gambling is a waste of cash and can be an awful addiction. I've seen people come in and throw their unemployment at keno slips and $20 tickets on a regular basis.

Also, this is a really good film about the structure of the largest gambling site on the planet.

I love a good game of Blackjack. Play it every Friday with my roommates and last time i won around $90.

not so much recently. but, when I do gamble, it has nightmarish results. I stick to the slots.

I like the flashing lights and pretty colors.

I usually go to Atlantic City once or twice a year to do some gambling with my friends. I never really win much, but it's fun. I typically just play slots, but I've also played blackjack a few times. I'm not a huge fan of the table games though.

i play spades for money. which is scary because the only other people who play spades for money tend to be ex-cons. apparently spades is really big in the prison system. thankfully i only play online nowadays so less risk of being shot in the face for getting a bag on a blind nil.

I play blackjack and that's it but I sure don't do it for fun, it's a lot of work to make money and that's why I do it. Sometimes I lose my ass but overall I come out ahead. I buy those books and dvds and play strictly by the "rules." Silly as it sounds I don't however consider myself a gambler. Blackjack is a game where IF you play a certain way and you're good enough to do it consistently you WILL win money, at least until the casino figures out who you are and throws your ass out.

Oh yes

I bought 100 stocks ($300 worth) in one company back a year ago when the stock market had taken a huge dive. The stocks were $3 each at the time. Now? Theyre $14 and rising. Slowly now, but give it time. Ill sell when its well in the $20.

Do the math. I made $1100 out of a meeshly little $300

Other than that? I do love me some Texas hold em' but I suck at it, so I dont gamble on it much unless its a friendly game where we each put $5 into the pot.

I've been interested in buying some stock lately, but I haven't had a job until this week so I couldn't afford to. I think in the next month or two I might look into getting some.

Tell me how it goes, man! Its real fun stuff. Ive always been interested in the stock market since I was 15, so I had always planned to play in it a little when I turned 18.

Having watched for some time where and when the company would rise and fall and other cues, I had plenty of research for a confident investment !

That plus, I mean, cmon. $3? The only way I was going to LOSE money was if they went bankrupt. Which was NOT going to happen. Infact $3 was an insult. I jumped on that shit. This was a stock that used to be in the $30-50 field.

Yeah it's hard to pass up a deal like that.

I mostly got interested because a friend of mine invested some money. I think he started with around $1,000 and now he's at like $4,000-5,000. I think it took about a year or so.

Hello guys,

this is for people who play, like or want to play online poker but don't want to deposit real money. That's right for this promotion there is NO REAL MONEY OF YOUR OWN NEEDED!

Pokerstrategy is a company that is affiliated with pokerrooms and gets a % of their winnings for each new player they bring to those online pokerrooms. more than that pokerstrategy is a pokerschool, they offer a 50$ free bankroll.

What do you need to do to get this?

1) Click this link http://nl.pokerstrategy.com/u6AALQ

2) sign up and read the 4 basic bigstack strategy for no limit hold'em articles and download the pdf with the starting hand chart found in one of the 4 articles

3) Do the quiz, keep the articles open as well as the starting hand chart. you can try the quiz 5 times I think

4) if you succeeded for the quiz choose the pokerroom where you want to receive your 50$ on. Follow the steps on the website EXACTLY

5) Play poker with a proper bankroll management (I suggest playing blinds of 0.02$/0.04$ or 0.05$/0.10$ ). for each hand you play you get points on the pokerroom (names differ from room to room). once you reach a certain amount of points you can CASH OUT WITHOUT EVER SPENDING A DOLLAR.

6) Give this link and explanation to your friends!

If you have a problem with any questions of the quiz, first search it in the articles you got 1 hour to solve 20 questions anyway. If you don't find it in the articles then try to google it. if that didn't work post the question and possible answers here.

IMPORTANT!!!!! -> During the signup process or after you succeeded for the quiz it is possible that pokerstrategy asks you to upload a copy of your ID-card. This is to prevent fraud (because you may only receive the starting capital once)

THERE IS MORE: If you play good enough you can get your bonus! this bonus is an extra 50$ so you can turn 50$ into 100$ without spending one single dollar!

Good luck and if you have any questions post them here.
