I've looked into it as well and have heard that the Amplitube adapter blows the PRS outta the water. I read some reviews where they used the PRS with the Irig app and it wasn't good at all and then once they received the IRig from Amplitube it was totally different.

he asked for cheaper, you get what you pay for.

it's $50 for the iRig, i mean, that's cheap really for what you get.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Go to Radio Shack and ask for one of these. Only $3

You plug your instrument cable into one end and then plug it into whatever you'd like.

They work great.

I'm pretty sure this is proprietary hardware for Amplitubes iPhone Apps. If you want to use their apps - you need it - and you don't have a choice of using something else.

The mini plug I sent a link to works just fine.

Good to know. I though the amplitube iPhone apps only worked with tthe iRig.
Thanks.

A simple adapter should work just fine. There is no security authentication built into the device that requires you to buy a specific adapter. Or, at least, other people are saying that you can just use a basic converter.

NO its not going to work, the amplitube adapter has three contacts on it, one for guitar because its mono, and another two for both speakers on the headphones. The plug that you are suggesting is only Mono and wont work. plus you have no way of plugging headphones into it anyway. better off just getting the right equipment.
