What are a good pair of passive humbuckers for metal?

I love the sound of booooo0000oosted mids, but ultimately just want something with versatility.

I'd look at something along the lines of a BKP Nailbomb, or perhaps one of their hot PAF's and ask Tim for it to be overwound. Seems you have in mind a kind of tone you want so drop him an e-mail, he's pretty helpful.

Depends on what you pick, but the ones I've had (Mississippi Queen, Yardbirds, Piledrivers) have all been really nice.

I actually prefer warpigs but the nailbombs are pretty great if you need a little bit more singingness
