I'm planning on building up my guitar pedal collection and eventually I'm going to need a pedalboard. It has to be able to hold 9 pedals (two of them being crybaby-sized pedals). Is there a pedalboard you recommend?

Here's my list of pedals:

Line 6 Dr. Distorto
Line 6 Liqui-Flange
Marshall Vibratrem
MXR Carbon Copy
MXR Variphase
MXR SuperComp
Dunlop Fuzz Face
Dunlop Crybaby 535Q Multi-Wah
Korg Pitchblack Tuner

So far, I only have the Dr. Distorto.

I have a pedaltrain pro and love it, it's a bit big if you want to use it with these pedals only, so maybe get the size under, but if you want to get more than these, then it's the way to go, I have 16 or 17 pedals and 2 power bars on it and it's just the right size. It's very practical, light and comes with a case (soft or hard, your choice - hard is more expensive though)

build one

Seriously get a flat piece of wood, put something over it. (black paint or something) and then staple-gun some velro on. then put handles on the sides.
Trust me NO pedal board is worth it.
I got a Pedaltrain board for a ridiculous deal from CL but all the boards out right now are just so outrageously overpriced. If i didn't get that one i would have built that. I just had that problem.

PLus flight cases that fit the size are easy to find.

Here's a sit if you just want a good priced on made: http://www.rondomusic.com/pedalcases.html

Hmmm.... Well it's going to be a while 'till I get all these pedals, so I have plenty of time to think about it.

go to ikea, get a gorm board and let your imagination run wild

this thing is heavy bulky and totally unnecessary. If I could go back in time I'd build my own.

lol. this is kind of funny. anyways, im thinking either i will build one or buy a pedaltrain pt-2. hmmm.....
#16
I've got the PT-2. It can hold about 12 mxr/boss sized pedals. Less of course if you take into acount the wah, which will take up two spots, and any larger/wider pedals that could take up more room.

I'm about to upgrade to a PT-Pro. It would be cheaper to get a second board but I just don't wanna fool with more than one board.

you could grab a smaller cheaper one

with the soft case. I got it because I think there was a sale on them at some point and you get this sweet bag to put everything in it.

^I use the soft case, and it's all right for me, I've never had any damage, and since it's soft, if something is a little too big it's all right, the fabric can get over it
you can't bend metal though
it's not THAT soft though, of course it's not hard, but it's harder than a guitar gig bag
#20
it's a really heavy padded bag.

You don't have to bend metal because the inside is padded and foamed. So you can fit oversized pedals and what not in it, I even stick all my cables on top of my pedals inside the case and the foam holds it all down snug.

I just like the ATA case because I can stack stuff on it when moving gear. Whereas with the soft case it would always have to be on top of other objects.
#22
If you don't gig a lot, build one yourself. Really easy, and you can make it the right size.

Edit: AM should really give me all his DBA pedals.

I actually wanted to buy the case alone, but I couldn't =( noone sells these...

sorry for threadjacking actually, but would anyone know where i could get one ?
