Where, along with coil-splitting modes, a pickup can have a Active/Passive mode? Thanks.

Whatever the hell is in the Epiphone Prophecy EM-2 Custom EX is supposed to switch between active and passive. I can't imagine either sounding all that great though.

MY bass has an active/passive switch. You pull or push the volume knob to choose.

i don't think that could be possible since you need different pots to power active and passive pickups

i was wrong. although reading this description is seems that the pickup is built more like a passive pickup then it is a completely active pickup. i dunno. crazy sauce.

Sounds like its just a passive pickup with a preamp built in.
