I went over to her house today to buy some of the stuff she's selling before she moves into a new apartment. She has 9 of those large rubbermaid baskets filled with clothes in addition to a regular closet and dresser. It's insane. Most of the clothes are quite expensive too...her mom said that there were a bunch of $200+ shirts and jeans...the parents buy all of this crap for her.

So, I got 8 RL/Lacoste polos for $40. I don't really care about the brands, but they were hardly worn and at $5/piece, I couldn't pass it up.

Their family is a lower-middle class family, and I'm sure that she's stretching her parents' budget. There's a sister and brother too who have nearly the same amount of clothes.

How can I bring it up that she's 19, needs to buy her own clothes, and doesn't even wear most of it? Or is it none of my business?

Do it discreetly, with a big sign that says:
"You're spending too much damn money!"

It's none of your business how they spend their money.

It is if you're their accountant

tbh it's none of your business however i can see your point.

but if parents offer, she's going to accept. my GF is 18 and is constantly bugging her parents for money for nights out or to go places or to buy her things. they're in the middle of a divorce and she's asking for £20 here and £50 there

sometimes i think "wtf buy it yourself" hell she can afford it but don't say it because it's not for me to stick my nose into her and her parents relationship.

just stay quiet about it TS and rake in the bargains xD

Steal the clothes, sell them, and give her the money in return for anal sex.

This was also my first thought
