So, I own a Squier Strat, and I play it alot with the whammy bar, my little brother wanted a shot, so i showed him a couple of chords, he screwed the whammy in real tight, and it fell out, I think a bit of the bar is stuck in the hole you screw it into. Is there any way to fix this?
That happened to my sister's Start when it fell.
I ended up having to drill a hole into center(just big enough to not touch the threads of the trem block) of the piece that was stuck inside. I used a a slightly bigger bit and went in really slow then backed it out. It took awhile but it's the only way I know to do without replacing the trem block.
