I'm starting to collect pedals to build a pedal board and I'm just trying to understand everything before I go buy something I'll end up not needing. I know I'll need a switching system so I don't have to dance around but I don't understand how it works. Do you create loops with it? If so how? What plugs into what? and is it possible to program 2 different settings on one pedal?
Any help is appreciated

This one may be more than what you need but by looking at it you can get a good idea of what it does. On the back side there a 8 loops, one send and on return jack for each. Those small little sliders near the footswitches determine which loops will be activated. So you can set the first switch to activate loops 1, 4 and 5, or whatever combination and have different combinations for each preset. You can put one pedal in each loop or how ever many are needed if you have that many pedals.
I have a huge fear if rays.

do they have smaller versions of these and can you put one pedal in multiple loops?
