Hi everyone! I lost a saddle screw while restringing my Stratocaster. The screw is the one that you adjust the intonation with. I replaced it with a much shorter screw, and the intonation is perfect, so it appears to be working. However, will this hold up? I have a gig tomorow, and I want to use my strat. If it's an issue, I can always switch to another one of my guitars, but should the shorter screw hold up? It's only a few milimetres shorter than the original, btw. The original flew off somewhere, somehow. Help anyone?

if its working it should be fine.

the only problem would be if you loosened it to the point where its barely in the threads and then you tightened the string and it pulled it out. if its working it shouldnt be a problem.
