lots of people have recently been saying they really like the focusrite saffire. havent tried it myself, but it sounds like its pretty good.

now back to the device, I'm really torn between this or the UX2 from line 6. I don't need anything extravagent, just something that allows for direct recodring of my guitar and bass, as wel as vocals when I decide to get around to it.

I just heard that the saffire would probably be more ideal when it comes to monitoring with headphones

I have the Saffire Pro 40 and through a decent preamp and good modeler (amplitube i.e.) it sounds GREAT.
