Soooo
I have always wanted a fender looking guitar that sounds like a fender and plays wonderful blues.
So i decided to buy a daphne blue body off of ebay
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/bodyguitar.jpg
and take an old squier neck my dad has had
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/guitarneck.jpg
with a new jack from guitar center
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/jack.jpg
a neck plate that spells my childhood
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/mneckplate.jpg
and with a bridge from that same old fender
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/guitarbridge.jpg
to make this (missing a pickguard with pickups i know
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/guitarsemiputtogether.jpg

and i want to also make a new logo that would look something like...
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j27/Guitarplaya27/Fender-Standard-Strat-mex-h.jpg

nessie because the guitar has that oceany feel and vintage sound, or will i hope
i got some 50's vintage alcino magnet pickups to put into a pickguard i will be getting soon, but the pickups i left at my dads
Anyways, i will just be attaching the bridge on today
more pics to comeee
What do you guys think?!

I would suggest buying a decent bridge and a good quality neck from a place like Warmoth. It will most likely have tuning issues if you don't. Overall though I think it's a cool idea and I think you made an excellent choice of color! I have a daphne blue strat myself. (see gear pics)

And to be honest, i was thinking about a different neck, but i might as well try this one and if i dont like it, then get a new one
and the bridge came off an old strat, and im going for vintagey looking, it looks semi beat up.
But what neck is on your daphne blue baby? If i may ask

It's just a stock Fender 62 Vintage Hot Rod that I had painted blue and a tortoise pickguard put on.

I agree with test-driving the Squier neck before buying a new one. Those are usually very comfortable.

Also, for the headstock, buy water slide decal for inkjet or laser printer, print the headstock name, spray with Acrylic Lacquer clearcoat, let dry, apply like any waterslide decal, let dry, re-spray several coats of clearcoat, etc.

Thanks for the info and help, i will remember this post for when that part comes.
Also, would i be able to take the squire logo off with steel wool? Or sandpaper?
And the first one looks abosolutely beautiful

Anyone hate having to mess with springs?

You can use 200 grit to remove the top clearcoat along with the Squier decal. That's the Banff font, available for free DL.

I think Warmoth necks are grossly overpriced personally. I would sweep ebay for some old MIJ Fender before hitting Warmoth. Cheaper, plays nicely, and you get the vintage mojo.
Epiphone Dot
DIY Esquire w/Neovin Power Rock pickup
Vox AC30VR 212
Arion MTE-1 (LED clipping diodes added)
Vox Tonelab LE
Roland SDE1000 delay

Well the neck i have is like a 94 squier,
so it has a little vintage feel, and i personally love the mobility of this neck,
soldering tonight!
Final product with pictures later
