Iv been thinking about selling my SG faded and buying a SG classic or flying V. I was wondering which is more versatile because im playing metal but also like to play really clean and fresh sounds but dont want to lose any of that crunch
Thanks

you dont want the classic for metal because p90s hum like crazy with lots of gain

I've got an SG with P90s, it sounds amazing with high gain. If you just mess with amp settings (and for me pedal settings) it can sound really good.

go for the v, if you can go for the faded version as all the hardware and woods are the same, its just a different finish

remember that as big as they look P-90's are single coil, so essentially that SG classic is like a tele.

and the v comes with a hardcase
