I'm curious to see what everyones favorite non-traditional guitar shapes are.
I'm leaving an "other" option in the poll, because I'm only allowed 10 options, and that's no where near enough space.

I didn't wanna make these all metal guitars ( only 2 of them aren't), but that's all I really pay attention too. If you have another shape, post it and vote "other"

Traditional shapes not included in this vote are as follows:
- Les Paul
- Strat/Superstrats
- Telecasters
- SG
- Explorer
- Regular Vs and RR shaped Vs
- PRS custom something-or-other shaped.
- I decided against the Schecter Solo-6 since it was too similar to an LP
- Jaguar, Mustang

The guitars up for voting:
ESP:
- Horizon III
- Antelope (This and the Forest GT model are under the same vote)
- Potbelly

Schecter:
- Avenger

Jackson:
- Dominion

Ibanez:
- Iceman
- Darkstone

- Pointy shaped BC Rich's (Warlock, Bich, Beast, Virgo, etc.)

- Star shaped (any brand with this style):
Crying Star/ Random Star
Warrior
Xiphos

I love Iceman's. I kinda like the shape of the Warrior and Xiphos too, but they're incredibly uncomfortable.

BC Rich Mockingbird is my favourite, but i wouldn't say its a "pointy" BC Rich, so i voted for Iceman because thats good aswell

I love how people are voting other, but not posting pics, I'll assume the other's are Mockingbirds?

I like the ESP horizon, but thats probably because its the most strat like and I'm just boring... :P

I like strat-style guitars the most, but Paul Gilbert's SSS Iceman is a sweet guitar as well.

EDIT: This is most definitely a Fireman. I tried
Warmoth Strat w/ Lace Holy Grails
    '07 Roadhouse Strat
    Washburn WD-21 all Koa Acoustic
    Marshall JCM-2000 TSL-122
    Bugera V-5

I'm voting other for the Mockinbird aswell. But I guess that's pretty similar to an Iceman

    Oh, it's just you.

I was going to say, you win for having a Horizon III in the poll, but then I realized that you were the TS, so I was like, of course, and it's the first choice... it all makes sense now...

Glad to see it's doing well in the poll though.

Everything is slowly putting itself together!

Of course, honestly I was tempted to vote Star shaped because I'm dying to own an ESP Crying Star.

Lo, I love flying V's (i thought a V was non-traditional :/)... but a non traditional shape would be the X, but only the Ibanex Xiphos, beacuse it looks balanced, slim and elegant, not like the Jackson Warrior or the other horrid ESP X...

Basically, if Gibson makes it, then it's traditional.

Besides, the Flying V has been around for a good amount of time now - far too long to be considered "out there".

Also, i wouldnt refer Horizon III as a non traditional shape.

If the Avenger is up there, then the Horizon III should be up there. It's the same basic concept: Take a strat shape, and then elongate or shorten or curve the horns to make a strat-esque shape.

    Definitely the Xiphos.

not to nitpick here, but Technically the avenger is a modified Solo-6. so it goes LP>solo-6>avenger.

all that is done is you take a solo six, straiten out the non cutaway, into a horn. make the cut away slightly larger, and make the body more on a diagonal. put on a new neck, and rearrange the knob layout

I've noticed this by comparing my synyster and my blackjack.

For me its a toss up between the Dominion and the Xiphos. Also, I take into consideration of how the finish and the hardware make the guitar look.

Damn, I accidentally voted for the Antelope (horrible shape, imo). I was going for the Potbelly, and that's because it's closer to more traditional shapes.

    if so this..

well considering nearly all of those r just a runoff of the strat, i dont like any of em
