Hey guys, new to the bass threads. I'm NOT a bassist. So useless advice given by me is mandatory.

I have a question, I would like to know if these specs are possible on a bass.
active bass,
three pickups
3band eq
headless
with 24 frets and a 0 fret :S

Is that possible?

If by 0 fret you mean fretless then yes,all of those exist on basses,I think.
If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people.

I can only think of one bass off the top of my head with 3 pickups, and that doesn't fulfill the rest of the criteria, so I doubt it.

Why such specific criteria?

EDIT

A zero fret is where there is another fret just after the nut, so open strings sound the same as fretted notes (in theory).

I have no idea, the bassist in my band asked me to ask the forums if it was possible cause he wants one like that.

it's definitely possible, but you would probably need to get one custom made.

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think

He could get his own built by a luthier or build it himself.

Actually a zero fret does the job of a nut putting the strings at the right height. A nut is still required to get the string spacing.

So a zero fret is where a nut usually would be.

Status are one of the only companies I can think of who'd do something like this. They may do 3 pickups as well.

Alembic definately would, but you'd be looking at dropping some serious cash on it.

Those specs are 100% possible, but you're looking at throwing some serious dough at a luthier or a custom shop, or spending a little less to make it yourself.

It's possible, however, you'd probably not find a bass like that just mass produced. He'd have to pay a luthier a lot of money to make one for him.
