I've been looking for a new amp. Currently I have a valveking but i'm looking for an upgrade. and i'm considering these amps.

Bogner Alchemist
Marshall jvm 205C
Marshall jvm 215C
Marshall TSL 602C

What's the difference between these amps?
i'm looking for an amp that's really versatile. ( from rhcp to metallica ) What would be the best choice?

Other suggestions are welcome.
Gear:

-Gibson Les Paul 2008 standard
-MIA Fender sunburst
-Orange Rockerverb C
-Peavey Valveking 212
-Roland 30x
-Line 6 pod x3

I've got a TSL 602 and it a fantastic amp!! the cleans are as good as my Budda SD18 and it has more useable gain than my stiletto.......its a great amp! But I will tell you the stock speaker aren't that good I've got an wgs et-65 and a veteran 30 and it sound great....as far as tubes every slot makes a difference so mixing and matching 12ax7 will give you lots of options. The reverb is good enuff I'm looking to trade my malekko spring chicklet....

I vote used mesa rectoverb series 2 (yes, it isn't on the list but it fits)

Very versatile nice amp which could easily cover those genres - where are you located? and can you give us a budget?

i'm from the netherlands. budget is 1200 euro's ( can strech a little )
The mesa is probably no option. Here in Holland they ask €2300.- for a rectoverb.

Not a fan of the JVM at all, but out of those, it's clearly the better choice

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Go for the Bogner if it's in your budget. The alchemist is a great little amp. Bogner uses top notch components in all their amplifiers.

Sorry to disagee the alchemist I bought new.....cab rattled and buzzed its way right back to the store????

Out of those the jvm. They've both had somewhat mixed reviews but the marshall jvm would the more reliable choice.

The Alchemist isn't much of an upgrade from the VK, IMO. On the OP's budget, he can do MUCH better.

I'd look at an ENGL Screamer or a Fireball, maybe a Blackmore.

I would say the tsl 602 is the most bedroom friendly of all my amps.....

I cannot think of any way that the Alchemist is better than the JVM. This one is not even close.
