b|---------------------|-----------------------------------|
g|---------------------|-----------------------------------|
d|---------------------|-----------------0-3-4-5-4-3-------|
a|---------------------|--------0-3-4-5-------------5-4----|

What?!

You tabbed something by ear and you don't know what it is? I'd call it random notes on a couple of strings version 89433845.

It's Living On A Prayer by Paramore, it's on their album Master Of Puppets and was released in 1762.

I've always been jealous that Paramore are called Paramore.

It's such a good name for such a shit band.

It sounds kind of familiar but I don't know what it is.

I can think of songs with similar riffs, but not what you wrote. It reminds me of either "Perfect 10" by Beautiful South or "Walkie Talkie Man" by Stereogram

I like Paramore.

Even though they are fairly mediocre, they were the first band I saw live (other than Busted ) so I guess they hold a special place in my heart.

Tis a good name though.

My first band I saw live were S Club 7.

In their peak, before they became S Club and threw it all away.

I hate that with a passion. That sinking feeling when you realise that riff you just wrote sounds just like somebody else's.

Fuck, I'm writing an album that's one big Baroness rip-off with flecks of BTBAM mixed in.

And I'm 100% okay with that. And myself.

Lucky you. I tend to get rid of any riffs that I think sound too similar to any other music that I know. That or keep it and remove or add some notes to the sequence.

Dude, chill. I've played saxophone for 5 years, piano for 6, and guitar for 3. I know what a chromatic scale is, it was a joke.
