... those documentaries that deal with what might happen during/after hypothetical disasters?

For example, theres the documentaries "Life After People" and "Aftermath: Population Zero", which both deal with the same thing: the human race abruptly dissapearing. I've also seen other programmes in the 'Aftermath series' that are about what might if the world ran out of oil, or if the world gradually stopped spinning. That sort of thing.

So Pit, have you watched any of these documentaries, or came across similar shows/books/etc.? If so, what did you think of them?

I watch Aftermath Shit's interesting, but the chances of those things happening in such a small time frame is impossible

well its similar to what you're saying but instead, a small group of people have to survive after a huge disaster and large spread of diseases in the area. im not sure if you even get the channel but its on the discovery channel occasionally.

Yeah, they are pretty daft But up until watching them I'd never really considered what'd happen to all the shit we've built/domesticated/ruined if the human race became extinct.

Some episodes suck, others are interesting. One episode kind of said what was gonna happen through what the bible says and there's some scroll with seven seels on it and once all seven are gone were f**ked. And I guess we've already broken the first 5.
If you believe in God he will save you. And you will be able to live on earth with him.. but not until the EPIC BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL!!! DUN DUN DUUUUUHNHNHNHNNN!!!!! Jesus and his army will fight Satan and his army and eventually Jesus will be come VICTORIOUS! Leaving the world nice and peaceful, free from all evil, and just a perfect place to live. That's when all the people that want to give God head will be sent back down to earth to live with God himself, and they will all live happily ever after.

I'd have given that a twist ending in which Satan wins and we spend all eternity partying hard and abusing religous extremists

You mean like 28 Days Later?
I don't watch things like that, 'cause I find them boring - the actual documentaries, not the ideas. I find the stuff interesting to think about.

I watch them, but I always end up screaming at the tv about how the makers of the show clearly have no idea about weathering, or evolution, or anything really. Which does rather ruin the effect.
