It was actually yesterday, but i was way too excited to make a NGD thread.

So here goes.

A nice sexy case.... What could it be?!??!

OHHHH theres the headstock!!! (You better know what it is now )

Side shot of the beautifully sanded premium primer finish

And finally...

A full body shot.

This baby plays amazing, super guitar. Everything is ROCK solid on it. And when i said premium primer finish, i really meant premium.

The primer has a matte feel to it, whereas the sanded down parts actually expose the normal black and red coat of paint that are super smooth (like on a normal eclipse).

The only, slightest problem i have with it, is that it came with an EMG 85 instead of a 60, so someone must have swapped it out a while back.

I picked it up from a used ESP depot in the netherlands for 1300EUR!!!! Its made in 05, but its been in the case for 5 years apparently, and i JUST peeled of the plastic coverings from the EMG 81 (the 85 didnt have one, thats why i assumed it was swapped), and the knobs, back covers etc.

Overall, SUPER ecstatic about this guitar! Will be posting a review soon!

Somewhere in Germany, but this guy here had it, and wanted to sell.

It was brand spanking new. Apart from the 85 instead of the 60, the straplocks (the part that connects to the strap) was missing. The straplock buttons were on the guitar tho.

You really have to feel it to apreciate it. I think its brilliant. They take a black eclipse (with binding on the neck and body - bear with me) then they paint it white, red, and then gray primer.

They then sand down the gray on the edges lightly so its white, deeper near the middle so the red appears, and right in the middle so the original black gets exposed. The original black on the big sanded down spot actually still has the original cream binding. The sanded down spots are also super smooth instead of matte feeling.

They then rebind the fretboard, with a less cream (practically white) binding.

I think its brilliant, and it also results in completely unique guitars each time.

I have no idea who did it, but i was definitely swapped out UGH this guitar would be a perfect 10 if it had an EMG 60.

Oh my bad I misread, I thought you meant it had an EMG 60 and you expected an 85!

Its gold, the 85.

I have an EX as well that has the 81/60 combo and its silver/gray, as opposed to the truckster which is silver/gold, therefore 81/85.

I contacted the guy that sold it to me, but he hasnt got back to me. I just want to know when it was done, out of curiosity.

Yeah. EXTENSIVE usage of the tone knob will do that

i gave our ESP rep a ton of shit about that. truth.

me: "what's wrong with the truckster?"
him: "dunno, whaddya mean?"
me: "look at it, it's obvious"
him: " "
me: "when is the last time you think hetfield twisted a tone knob?"
him: "obvious oversight on our part, kbai."

You are what they call a “rhythm guitarist”. While it's not as glamorous as playing lead you can still get laid. Especially if you can sing and play.

Its not from a store kerel, its from this guy that apparently owns alot of rare guitars, and i remember him saying that he got my particular ESP from germany.

If you want his email, PM me. Hij heeft ook trouwens de JH1 met groen vlaam. Als je geintereseerdt ben, zeg het maar.
