Review:
First off, out of the box, i had to do a few tweaks to the setup, like action and intonation, nothing overly stressful. The finish was flawless, and i really love the stripes down the back. Bat inlays add an extra air of badassery, although i may remove them later. The EMG 808s are, IMO of course, underrated. They are brilliant distorted, but require a bit of work to find a good sound. Clean on the other hand, was a bitch, although after about an hour of EQ and tone knob shifting i got a decent clean sound. But if you get an Eight string with emgs, i doubt you gonna be playing clean much.

Playability wise, this was a real change from my ibanez. The guitar is huge!. At the almost 29 scale length, once tiny stretches get a load bigger, and the first four frets are pretty far apart. But once you get used to these changes, it becomes a bit easier to do certain things. The wider frets made chording easier for me, and the larger fret spacing gives you more room to maneuver during faster runs. The neck is really comfortable, with a really similar feel to the ibanez. All in all, this guitar blew me away, and has really opened up my playing

And this thing on the back of the headstock, ive never seen something like it, but it came on the guitar, and it holds about twenty picks

Oh, and i got it for 500$, hardcase included

HNGD!

And that thing on the back of the headstock is a Dunlop pickholder-thing. They're about 2 bucks and come with a little adhesive spot on the back so you can stick it on stuff.

Sorry for the bump, but opinions on the inlays? And are their any other types of eightstring pickups to look for?

Great guitar. I had one for about a year and loved it. I traded it away, but may get another one day. What don't you like about the pickups? I am a BKP nut and usually swap everything to BKP's. I was totally satisfied with the pickups in the Intrepid. They are great.

Thats Agile's angle, they sell great guitars all for less than $1000. No expensive ad-campaigns. No outside distributors. No big fancy website. Just selling guitars at a price to fund building more. Which means great guitars for a steal.

I'm GASing an Agile Interceptor Pro 727 myself right now.
